Draycott village Christmas trees On Saturday 25th November at 9am our wonderful  team volunteers will be heading out and about in the village putting up Christmas trees.  So, we need you! Can you spare an hour or two to help us? All you need is yourself, wrapped up warm, in a pair of gloves! We need people to knock on doors, put lights on trees and climb ladders. If you’re available to help, we’ll be meeting at 9am in the Coach & Horses car park. If you’ve got them, please bring along ladders and tools to unscrew bracket bolts. Every volunteer receives a free sausage cob and hot drink provided by the wonderful Sarah at Victoria Vintage Tearooms! Draycott in Bloom Draycott that again this year, won a GOLD award in the ‘East Midlands in Bloom’ competition. Plus, we came 1st in the ‘Small Towns' category beating the six-time winners, Uppingham. Plus, Mapleton Road received a special Judges award for ‘The colourful front gardens in Mapleton Road’ Plus, The Coach and Horse won a Silver award in the Attractiveness of Planting category Plus, The Courtyard, Draycott Mill, won a 'Certificate of Achievement' in the Attractiveness of Planting category. Well done all you Dibbers and well done Draycott.

WANT TO GET INVOLVED WITH THE DIBBERS? Volunteers always needed and made very welcome. No gardening experience required, just an hour to spare now and again, even if it's just to help water. You will definitely make new friends. If you would like to meet the group, come to the Coach and Horses the first Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm.
